This particular Charleston's is near perfect. Perfect environment, beautiful lay out, very nice greeters, wonderful servers, managers who are not overbearing, good take out, the servers constantly keep drinks refilled, bathrooms always clean, food good, excellent desserts, and for the love of ... Try the pineapple upside down cake!

I have been going to Charleston's for as long as I can remember. Yes it is a chain, but as far as chains go, I'm a fan of it. This location is the same. It is predictable and always good in both service and food. I've enjoyed everything from salads to steaks, and many things in between. I cannot think of an experience that has been unsatisfactory. It is a great place to fall back on if your favorite local spot is stacked with an unbearable wait. It's a great place to meet up with family for a small get together, or perfect place to please your pallet! It is for these reasons that I fall back on Charleston's if I can't make up my mind or just want to enjoy a nice meal with my wife.

In town for a night on business and decided to try Charleston's based on the reviews here on Yelp. I'm really glad that I did as I enjoyed one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. The fresh Mahi Mahi was cooked perfectly and the sides of rice and vegetables made for a very filling meal. I even took the plunge and had the apple cobbler for dessert and that too was outstanding. The decor was very appealing and the service was top notch. I highly recommend this Charleston's location and look forward to opportunity to visit again.

First of all, this restaurant has a nice ambiance however...it's a very loud restaurant. Next. ..the food. The food is "ok". Nothing fabulous but not horrible. Just ok. The menu is on the limited side and the wait staff seems unorganized and forgot part of our order. Probably won't go back.

Ate an early dinner here this last weekend with my family & parents, our server was sweet as can be & couldn't have done a better job with our table. Manager came by to check on us after entrees were served, that was nice. The food is so consistent here, from taste to the presentation. My shrimp scampi pasta was incredible, had SO much flavor- topped with fresh tomatoes & thin slices of fresh basil. Wishing I had taken a photo! Even my sons kids meal, he ordered the ribs, were falling off the bone juicy. My kids love it here because they get an ice cream sundae included in the meal;). It seems like their prices went up recently, I have noticed that even with some fast food chains. Our dinners for 7 with everyone but one person drinking water was just under $100. But that's the thing, if you get hospitable service & a great meal that you feel is worth it, I don't mind paying a little more for great quality.

First time eating here.. Nice decor.. Our waiter Spencer was spot on! He was a great waiter!! The food was good, the spinach dip appetizer was good.. I got the half chicken and some shrimp! No complaints, what so ever.. This place to me is a higher quality "Cheddars" restaurant.. I will come back..

Call me impressed! Things started out a little slow but they made up for it in a hurry. I was at the I-240 restaurant with a group of twenty five. I dread these large gatherings because nothing ever seems to go right. Well I stand corrected! I had the prime rib, medium rare of course, house salad and a baked potato. It was perfect! The prime rib was cooked to perfection. The salad was not as big as I remember them but still very good. A lot of toppings! The waiter that served us was Brandon. I was impressed with the dinner but when it came down to the service, it was even better. Brandon conducted himself in the most professional manner. He was very attentive and courteous. I will ask for him when I return. The menu selection is excellent. Everyone had nothing but good things to say about their dinners. We all had a bit of everything from the salmon, prime rib sandwich, turkey burger, mesquite burger, 8 oz sirloin, 7 oz filet and of course the prime rib. Thank you Charlestons for a very stress free and delicious dinner. Overall grade "A+"!

There's really nothing bad in the menu. Everything I have had has been exceptional in taste. I really enjoy their Caesar salad! I always get it before my meal and there has not been a time where I have seen a wilted romaine lettuce. The bbq ribs are great just fall off the bone and. Nicely flavored with the barbecue sauce. Their fries are crisp and never soggy. Last time I had the clam chowder and it was sort of grainy like sand rubbing in between my teeth. Other than that I always enjoy my meal here :)

Wow! Wow! Wow! I cannot say enough about the level of service here! We went here a couple nights ago because it was recommended by a family member and boy were we blown away! You can tell the entire restaurant practices customer service and it starts from the minute you walk in the door , to getting seated, waited on, and then on to your departure! And please don't forget the amazing food, Salad, Parmesan chicken, seasoned rice, and garlic potatoes was all amazing! But let me just tell you about this bread....the croissant roll that comes with the salad is more than enough reason to go to charlestons! It is hot, buttery, soft, and some type of light honey tasting! It was so good that we felt the need to ask if we could buy a bag to take home! Can believe it's that good? Go ahead and try it yourself, you will not be dissapointed, we weren't! Oh and don't forget it only comes with the salad!

Perfect experience: good home made food, fast service and a great staff. I went here with a friend on a business trip. We got in late and were looking for a place open at 9:30. We found Charleston's and yelp showed they were open till 10 pm. We got in and had a great waiter followed by a waitress who also was very friendly. The food came out very fast and it was excellent. It was apparent the chicken tenders were home made and lightly fried. The fries were also fresh cut and excellent. The cole slaw was also perfect. Not too dry and not too wet. The atmosphere was a little dark, but is probably perfect for a romantic dinner or date night.

Great service and excellent fresh food. I ordered the mahi mahi and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak, both were awesome. We shared a Bloody Mary and the best part, the bread pudding for dessert! We had a great server and our glasses were never half empty. We've been to all charleston's in the metro and this is by far the best location.

I am a decent fan of Charleston's. I've been to the one near Meridian and the one in Edmond many times and have tried several things. The things I would recommend to order are: *Prime Rib (they have one of the best prime ribs, even better than a few of the pricey steak houses) *House salad, their vinaigrette dressing is awesome (not a fan of the champagne vinaigrette though, it's a little blah) *Their croissants! (fresh, hot, flakey, buttery, drizzled with honey) *Chicken Avocado Sandwich (It's great! I usually get this for lunch, it's a grilled chicken breast with bacon (which I request no bacon) and fresh avocado) *Garlic Mashed potatoes (pretty heavy/creamy though) *Burgundy mushrooms *Chicken Rot. is pretty good too However, this specific Charleston's wasn't my favorite. There was WAY too much dressing on the salad. It was soupy. :/ And the prime rib was great, but the au jus was extremely salty that I could barely even eat it. And I typically love their mashed potatoes but it was a bit too whipped and creamy for my liking for some reason.

WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! Lived in OKC my entire life and Charleston's was a favorite. Recently moved away, but we drove in for a holiday weekend with family. Charleston's was our first stop for dinner. It was wonderful, as always! The shrimp cargot was divine, and the prime rib was delicious! The waitstaff was prompt and attentive - we wanted for nothing. The food, atmosphere and superior service is the reason we will ALWAYS make time to dine here when we are in town. BRAVO!

This is a great Charleston's. I don't spend a ton of time in this part of the city, but on the way to Diamond the other night for our date night, a few of the smaller places we wanted to try were getting close to closing time, so we went with the only local place that was open late enough that we wouldn't be bothering them. It's more open, less dark and feels less like an old white dude's club than the ones I always go to; it feels like it has a little bit of it's own personality. They have a few big rooms for parties, which I've always thought was something the one on NW Expressway was missing. The food, as per the usual, was wonderful. We split the NY Strip special and ordered one extra salad. It was plenty of food for the two of us, and left enough room for the wine. The steak was cooked to juicy medium perfection, and the salads and potato came out exactly as we had ordered it, with some things on the side and some things left off altogether. I want to work in a Charleston's kitchen for one week to learn their system for never messing up that stuff, which is hugely important to me who likes things just as I ordered them. Our waiter did an excellent job taking care of us in a quiet way that allowed us to have our date night. Not that this is a huge deal, but It also has the fancy bathrooms, more like the ones you see at Red Rock (the older Charlestons have restrooms like any ol' restaurant or high school gymnasium.

I grew up in the Oklahoma City metro area. I've lived in Colorado for three and a half years now. Boulder and Denver are bastions of fine dining, and I've been appropriately spoiled by fresh, thoughtful cuisine and a thriving local restaurant scene. So when I come home to visit, I'm in a different mindset than the people I left behind. Maybe too pretentious, certainly more adventurous. Everyone wants to go to national chain restaurants or the half-baked Tex-Mex places which survive solely on name recognition. Blah. Boring. And a waste of money. Enter Charleston's. While there are certainly many locations and this one isn't the first, the south OKC location consistently pounds out delicious meals. Amazingly tasty food prepared fresh, a comprehensive drinks list featuring guilty pleasure cocktails and a nice wine selection, and a solid menu. This place can satisfy a food critic while remaining palatable to your everyman, overalls-wearing dad. Who doesn't like Charleston's? The tender catfish, a serving so big everyone at the table gets a bite. The flavorful and perfectly seasoned chicken fried steak, a meal I'll only order when I'm in the heartland. The conversation about whether to order queso when you know you'll end up ordering queso. Struggling to choose between their five-star line-up of sides (ok, except the baked beans. I can't quite fully enjoy their odd-tasting baked beans - but the fries! the garlic mashed potatoes! the fried okra!). The portions are too big, and you walk out with multiple containers of meat and sides, but it serves to remind me that I'm back in Oklahoma and it's good to be home. More croissants, please.

It was my birthday dinner. Where do you want to go?, they asked me. Chicken-fried steak, I said. My niece said Charleston's. I'd never heard of the place, but Yelp gave it 4.5 stars and it was nearby, so I'll give it a try. And I'm very glad I did! The steak was HUGE, stretched out over garlic mashed potatoes and smothered with a just-right-spicy gravy. Served with firm sweet carrots, and hot bread. Even the salad was good, complete with chopped eggs and bacon. The staff - especially our server Ali - were all extra friendly, the ambiance elegant-casual, the prices reasonable. I even got a free ice cream sundae with candle on top! I'll definitely want to come here again.

You know what? Sometimes you want to sit down at a place with good service, more food than you really should eat at one sitting, and a decent atmosphere without worrying about being challenged from a culinary perspective, having your horizons expanded, or eating particularly heathily. When you find yourself in that situation, this location is the perfect solution. Plenty of traditional American food that's actually not bad for a chain, solid staff and a nice atmosphere. You could do far worse. Stick with the staples and you'll have a good time.
